These premade cables are outstandingly suitable for transmitting the 110 Ω AES/ EBU 2 DMX-512 data format.
Note
: Due to loss of data and information (caused by reflections at the cable end which may be due to a faulty line balancing), the use of a standard microphone cable is not advisable. In the lighting sector a loss of data causes a total holdup of signal transmissions, e.g. in a moving lights control system. The very favorable price of this cable should make it easy to switch from a standard microphone cable to a decent AES/EBU cable.
